This is a blog to share my personal opinions and comments on current health and other issues. I may from time to time draw on the inputs and insights of colleagues at IHP, but all the views expressed should be considered my own and not necessarily of the Institute.

As for myself, I am a physician and economist by training, with specialization in public health and health economics. A very long time ago, I did work as  a clinician, but most of my professional I’ve worked as a researcher, here in Sri Lanka and also USA. I can’t claim to be an expert in all areas, but I hope I do have an informed view on what I write about here and I hope this will be of interest to others.
