    Socially-Inclusive Strategies to Extend Social Health Protection in Asia

     
    Project ID: SP-003 Status: Completed

    IHP prepared this review paper examining experiences and challenges in the Asian region in extending social protection for health as part of the ILO's Global Campaign for the Extension of Social Security Coverage, launched in 2003. The paper reviewed the current status access to health services in the region and modes of financing, and analyzed critical issues for extending coverage in future. The paper was presented by Dr Rannan-Eliya, IHP Fellow, at the ILO-organised, High Level Regional Meeting held in Delhi, india in May 2008.
