Review of National Nutrition Policy |
|
Project ID: NS-002 |
Status: Completed |
The study reports the outcome of the review carried out on the level of implementation of National Nutrition Policy (NNP) 2010-2018. The objectives of the review were to: (1) examine the extent of implementation of the NNP, (2) identify the gaps in implementation, and (3) make recommendations to revise the NNP based on findings of the review. Assessment of the level of and gaps in implementation considered the nutrition policy environment (policy content, processes of policy formulation, implementation, and the level of monitoring and evaluation). The report highlights that in the case of NNP 2010-2018, it has not been successful in achieving the central elements that point to what is recognised as successful national scale nutrition programs and highlights five key areas that need focus and effort. |
