As part of a regional World Bank study of South Asia under the title �Responding to Non-communicable Diseases in South Asia: A Framework for Developing Regional and Country Policy,�, the IHP team led by Dr Shanti Dalpatadu, Senior Fellow, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Sri Lanka, examined the current policies and organizational capacity in Sri Lanka for responding to the NCD epidemic. As part of the study, a systematic review of the organizational and legislative structures was undertaken, as well as focus group discussions with actors at all levels in the healthcare system. |
