Governance of public health institutions in Sri Lanka |
|
Project ID: HV-002 |
Status: Completed |
One of the strengths of Sri Lanka's health sector that has been recognised internationally are its local level public health services, that manage the provision of MNCH services and environmental health activities. Recognising that other regional countries may be able to learn from this performance, this World Bank study is looking at actual performance in Sri Lanka and West Bengal in India, using a case study approach. As input for this, IHP conducted a survey of health workers involved in public health activities in two districts of Sri Lanka, as well as systematically reviewed current organisation and management of these services. |
