Good Health at Low Cost II - Evaluation of country performance

    Project ID: HS-011 Status: Completed

As part of Rockefeller Foundation's initiative on global health, the Foundation launched an effort to examine the experiences of countries that had achieved good health at low cost. In support of this effort, IHP underook a systematic analysis of available global data on the performance of national health systems in improving health during the period 1960-2005. Data from various sources were collated and then analyzed in order to rank countries in terms of their performance in improving health outcomes, and in relation to overall health expenditure efforts. The rankings produced by the study were used by the Foundation to identify a short list of countries that would be examined in the larger study.
