Costing, financing and expenditure of services in districts |
|
Project ID: HE-001 |
Status: Completed |
In support of the first Annual Health Forum by the Ministry of Health, IHP researchers working through HPRA conducted a number of studies to examine the financial performance of a sample of districts. The results and findings of this work were used to inform the discussion at the AHF, held in February 2007. One component extended the IHP Sri Lanka Health Accounts by incorporating a new district dimension of analysis, yielding the first estimates of district-level health spending. A second component involved a new cost survey of government health facilities in three districts, which provided new estimates of the relative costs of services in different public facilities. |
