Sri Lanka Health Accounts Phase 5 |
|
Project ID: HA-035 |
Status: Completed |
IHP staff developed Sri Lanka's health accounts system in the late 1990s in order to track on a routine basis national health expenditures in the country. In this fourth phase of this activity, IHP continously updates its estimates of health expenditures in Sri Lanka. Current developments include changes in the underlying data sources used for major items of expenditure, such as by the provincial councils and donor agencies, and several revisions to estimation methods to increase accuracy and to ensure greater compliance with relevant international standards. Other linked projects include several to improve the estimation methodologies, and development of health expenditure forecasting models. |
