Cambodia Health Accounts |
|
Project ID: HA-008 |
Status: Completed |
Cambodia is one of the least developed countries in Asia, and its health sector faces immense challenges, including lack of adequate financing for necessary health services. As part of its support for strengthening of the policy planning and management capacity of the Ministry of Health, the DFID-funded, and OPD-run technical support project arranged for Dr Rannan-Eliya, Fellow, to visit Phnom Penh and assess the national situation and feasibility of liaising with DFID project staff and WHO counterparts, he met with a number of Cambodian agencies and donor partners, and identified key issues and options for Cambodia if it wanted to establish a proper system of health accounts for planning purposes. At the end of his mission, he presented his findings at a national workshop, which also served to familiarize Cambodian MOH staff with health accounts in general. |
