The Findings from the First implementation of Standards-based Health Accounts in OECD and Developing Asia: Similarities and Differences |
|
Project ID: EV-002 |
Status: Completed |
This special IHEA conference session was organised to share the findings of the first SHA-based health accounts data collections in OECD and Asia-Pacific region. These provided for the first time, comparable and detailed data on health care financing systems in more than 20 countries in the OECD and 12 territories in the Asia-Pacific region. Important findings were that many of the key patterns in financing are the same in both regions, particularly the increase in total spending and public spending with income per capita, and the dominance of public expenditrure in funding inpatient care. Data collections used for the Asia-Pacfifc analysis were conducted in collaborations by APNHAN, WHO and OECD RCHSP. |
