IHP organized and hosted the first event of the Leadership for UHC (L4UHC) Asia program 2019/20 at the Jetwing Blue hotel in Negombo, Sri Lanka, 18-21 March 2019, working with and supporting colleagues from World Bank, WHO, GIZ and P4H. As part of the week's training, IHP organized sensing journey visits for participants to experience at first hand some key elements of SRi Lanka's UHC experience. This included visits to the PGIM training program for medical administrators, a private clinic, a private hospital and a leading quality expert, a government hospital and the GMOA doctors union. Participants were uniformly surprised and impressed by what they saw, much of which was new to them. |
